COVID-19 Quick Advice: Education & young people
The COVID-19 crisis and subsequent lockdown has had a major impact on our children and young people, with schools all closed and exams cancelled for the first time in Scotland’s history, and higher and further education suffering significant disruption.
In addition to the closure of education institutions, children and young people have also experienced having most of their out of school and leisure activities halted, training and career opportunities narrowed, and face to face contact with friends reduced.
With the situation set to continue for some time it is important that children and young people adapt as best they can to continue learning, staying physically and mentally active and keeping in touch with friends in different ways.
