Holyrood backing for Gordon’s cycling challenge

Iain Gray MSP joined a cross-party group of colleagues outside the Scottish Parliament yesterday to support the fundraising cycling challenge being undertaken by Haddington resident Gordon Paterson.

Mr Gray has been supporting Gordon’s challenge, which will seem him cycle the length of Britain and breadth of his native Canada, raising funds for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

Speaking after the Holyrood event, Iain Gray MSP said:

“I was delighted that so many colleagues came out to meet Gordon and show their support for his cycling challenge. It is set to take him through many parts of Scotland on his journey across the length of Britain, so it was fitting that so many MSPs turned up to give him a good send off at Holyrood.

“I hope that this will also help to increase awareness of Gordon’s journeys and his fundraising for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. He has an incredibly tough challenge ahead of him and I wish him the very best of luck with completing it.”
