20 May is National Thank A Teacher Day, the annual opportunity for everyone across the country to join together to say a huge thank you not only to their teachers, but school leaders, teaching assistants, and all support staff for their amazing work.
This year we are saying thank you to them all not only for what they have been doing in these challenging times during the COVID-19 pandemic, but also all year round, every year.
Supporting the day, Iain Gray MSP said:
“I want to thank all of our teachers in East Lothian and across Scotland who have worked so hard over the last two months to adapt to support learning at home for children during the pandemic, and those who have staffed the children’s hubs providing support for children of key workers and vulnerable families.
“They have all stepped up and played their part in the national response to the pandemic and, despite the uncertainty and risk, continued to put their pupils first. Please take a moment to thank teachers, school leaders, teaching assistants, and all support staff today.”
