Adoption Week Scotland this year is taking place from the 16th – 20th November 2020.
Adoption Week celebrates adoption in Scotland, it is funded by the Scottish Government and managed by AFA and AUK Scotland. AUK Scotland is planning a range of activities to take place around Scotland for people interested in adopting and for adoptive families.
Iain Gray MSP said:
“Adoption Week is the annual opportunity to both celebrate adoptive families in Scotland, and to raise awareness about the reality of adoption in the wider community, and to provide prospective adopters with information about how to help children waiting for families.
“As well as providing information about the process of adoption, this year there will be a range of events looking at the importance of sibling relationships, therapeutic parenting, and Fetal Acohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and the impact of prenatal alcohol exposure. I encourage anyone with an interest in adoption to get involved this year.”
